Manitoba PNP

Manitoba’s Express Entry Pool issued invitations to Skilled Workers which provides a pathway to Permanent Residence Visa.

Express Entry candidates selected under  three categories among those were issued Letters of Advice to Apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

The April 23 draw issued invitations to candidates in Manitoba’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba,  Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education streams.

Express Entry Held On 15th April 2020

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic still Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 118 invitations Express Entry candidates on April 15, who had provincial nominations.

The invited candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 808.

All of these candidates had previously received provincial nominations and were awarded an additional 600 points toward their overall score. This means without the provincial nomination the candidate would have had a CRS of 208.

To be clear, if you were an Express Entry candidate in the pool who obtained at least a 208 on the human capital characteristics of your CRS score, plus a provincial nomination, you would have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in this draw.

Alberta-Canada PR Visa 2020

Alberta Express Entry Stream in its past four draws in a row have invited candidates with CRS scores as low as 300 to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

Invited candidates had profiles in the federal Express Entry pool and required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 300.

Candidates do not need a job offer in order to be invited through the Alberta Express Entry Stream, however, they do need to have profiles in the Express Entry system.

Canada Express Entry Program April 2020

Canada government has invited 606 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a draw held April 9. Invited candidates had provincial nominations and needed a CRS score of 698, which included 600 points of PNP nomination.

A second Express Entry draw within the same day took place on Thursday, April 9, where a total of 3,294 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence were issued to Canadian Experience Class candidates with ranking scores of 464.

Government of Canada is continuing to hold regularly scheduled Express Entry rounds of invitations despite the fact that special measures have been put in place to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 

Canada certainly continues to hold draws maintaining the likelihood that Express Entry draws would take place following the implementation of special measures to slow the spread of coronavirus.

In fact, on April 1, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) tweeted that Express Entry rounds of invitations are still being held, and confirmed that it is accepting and processing applications.

The Express Entry system is Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers. Eligible candidates enter the Express Entry pool and are issued a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on their age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French, among other factors.
